How to Choose A Good Tuition Centre in Singapore

When it comes to finding a good tuition centre in Singapore, there are a lot of different things that you will need to consider. On this page, we are going to share a few tips which should hopefully help you to score far better tuition.

Small Group Tuition

In an ideal world, you will want to opt for a tuition centre in Singapore which offers small group tuition. However, this can be a touch expensive. Therefore, you will want to opt for the smallest class sizes possible. After all, the fewer people there are in the class, the more attention the teacher will be able to pay to each individual student and this should, hopefully, lead to a far better education. Again, you are going to need to pay more for your child to be in one of the smaller classes, but it is more than worth it, trust us.

Good Location

You will also want to ensure that the class is within an easy to reach location. There are a number of parents out there who will sign their children up for tuition only to find that it is a bit out of their range to get there. You do not want this. You want the class to be within easy reach. You want to know that you are able to put the effort into getting your child into class, or sending your child to tuition on their own.

If the centre is too far away, you will probably get lazy and your child will end up missing classes, or perhaps turning up late, and this means that they are not going to be getting the education that they deserve.

Know The Teachers

You should always meet with the teachers before you decide which tuition centre in Singapore you wish to opt for. After all, you want to know that they are going to be a good fit for your child. You will also wish to talk to them about the type of qualification that they hold. You, ideally, wish to opt for a tutor who has a degree in the subject matter that your child needs to be taught in. In an even better world, you will also want to opt for a retired teacher, or, at least somebody with proper teaching experience in a school. You will find that they have a pretty decent chance of doing a far better job than a new tutor, no offence to the new tutors, of course.

Teaching Materials

Finally, you should always ask to see a sample of the teaching materials that the centre in Singapore which provides tuition will be using with your child. You will want to have a flick through these materials to see if they are any good.

You will also wish to ensure that these tuition materials match up with what your child is learning and their learning style. You will, obviously, need to understand these materials too as you will, most likely, need to help your child out later on down the line.
