Teacher’s Foreword

The goal of the science tuition course for primary 6 would be 1) Crystallise and clarify the concepts in the syllabus and 2) Develop the application and exam skills in students.

Knowledge of the topics is not so much the issue here. Most students do not have problems with memorising the contents, the challenge lies in undertanding and application. The latest 2014 syllabus has placed greater emphasis on the student’s ability to apply of his/her knowledge.

My experience in teaching science has taught me that application is more important than knowledge when in comes to excelling in science exams.

Our science tuition lessons is centred around the development of application skills, techniques for interpreting and answering exam questions – Giving the examiners what they are looking for in your answers.

The ultimate goal would be to prepare students to tackle the science exam questions. The course outline below details how our tutors go about preparing our students for the final exam.
